Hello my lovelies and hope you are all having a great weekend? I had the pleasure of tasting 6 fabulous wines sourced directly from a family vineyard in Sicily from Veeno. For some of you who don’t know anything about Veeno, they are an Italian Wine Cafe and they serve family produced Sicilian wines & authentic Italian spuntini. I was invited to try out their Wine Tasting experiences and i have to say it was amazing!
I was welcomed warmly by their lovely staffs who explained how the whole experience will be and what to expect. I also met the 2 owners of Veeno who initially met in Manchester. They both shared a unique passion and talked me through how Veeno was born. It was a very enjoyable experience and if you like wine tasting you should give them a trial too. Here are the details of the wine list that i tried and enjoyed.
This was made of the classic Sicillian white served with their Mozzarella di Bufala. The freshness and flavour were everything. The wine notes delivered note of oak and acacia. This was a perfect start and i knew it was just the beginning of a great experience.
THE WINE OF LOVE
This was an intense floral wine paired with Pecorino in Grotta. This wine was smooth with variety of scents ranging from floral to spice and fruity notes. This wine was definitely made for me and I will definitely be back for more.
A fresh and summery rosé with freshly sliced speck. If you are a Rosé kinda person then you would love this one, plus it’s the perfect choice for this summery weather. This wine had a cherry colour with an intense fruity and fresh taste. Wine notes included strawberry, cherry, raspberry and pomegranate.
This included Liquorice and spices accompanied by Bresaola. This was a match made in heaven with rich red fruits mixed with notes of liquorice. It’s fruity nature makes it perfect.
Oh! this combination raised the bar. The best handpicked grapes merged perfectly with herbs and scents of cocoa. This wine had a rich taste and the Gorgonzola cheese paired with it gave it’s complex yet rich presence.
A sweet wine served with delicious homemade Tiramisù. Last but not least in the wine tasting experience was this sweet and soft family produced dessert wine perfectly paired with Tiramisù. It’s bright, intense and golden colour reflects a balanced scents of flowers, fruits, honey and cinnamon.
This was my first wine tasting experience and it was very lovely and i would be visiting Veeno soon for more.
Have you visited Veeno? I would love to know your wine tasting experiences?
